How to get energized, a fast and easy solution.

Have you ever woke up in the morning feeling that you have less energy than when you went to bed the night before? While many factors determine the cause of this, there is an easy and fast solution to perk yourself up in just a few minutes, and it is not coffee!

What then, you may ask. It is the simplest thing and you do it naturally all the time. It is breathing! Yes, but not just breathing normally, but rhythmic breathing. It made wonders in my life and will do the same in yours. The first thing I do when I open my eyes, after an “inner self-love shower” is I start breathing rhythmically. There are many techniques out there, however the most important thing is actually doing it, before you get out of bed.

A few minutes, inhaling and exhaling for 4 counts and then speeding it up for 2 counts, wakes you up like nothing else I ever experienced. It is as effective as a cold shower, but this one you can do while still in bed, and this is the best part. My favorite segment of the day is those moments, when I just awoke and still half here half over there, in the other dimension. The alpha state, as they say.

How to do it? In that heavenly state, before you open your eyes, shower yourself with love and start breathing with total focus. After a few minutes I start feeling tingling in my fingers and legs and finally my whole body and feel that I am full of energy and ready to roll, exercise. Whatever is your morning routine, breath first. I normally finish with a slower breathing pattern and then I start the day.

Breathing exercises can make miracles. There are certain practices, like breath retention, that also can supercharge creativity and give an energy boost any time during the day. But conscious, rhythmic breathing in the morning is by far my favorite uplift and does not cost anything. Yes, it is true, the best things in life are free.
